If at any point you do not accept any of the following terms, immediately discontinue use of this site.

All content on this site is copyright 2010 AmericanTalesAndTrails.com.

No content may be used, shared, copied, posted, or otherwise used in any fashion in whole or part without the express written consent of AmericanTalesAndTrails.com (the Site).

The only exception to this is for subscribers of the Premium with reuse rights subscription package (P2). P2 members may use the articles, photos, maps, blog entries, and other material on this site (henceforth known collectively as Resources) for inclusion in newspapers, magazines, websites, and other SIMILAR uses ONLY under the following terms:

  • Your AmericanTalesAndTrails.com P2 subscription is currently active and in good standing
  • You include a link back to the original Resource on the Site with the term AmericanTalesAndTrails.com used in the link if Resource is used on a website
  • You include a reference to Site in the medium if not a website
  • You post in the forum found here where you are using the Resource
  • Your subscription must remain in good standing and current in payment while Site Resources are in circulation, exist on the web site, or are otherwise available

No use of Site Resources will be allowed for the following purposes or any use not listed that is similar in nature to those listed:

  • As a logo, brand identifier, or promotional material (including, but not limited to: apparel give aways, signage, brochures)
  • For the sole purpose of profit (ie. selling articles, maps, photos, etc without being part of an established collection of like articles, maps, photos, etc.)
  • Use on, with, or in conjuction with  illegal, unethical , or immoral material, topics, websites, or publications (as decided solely and with prejudice by Site owners) – If in doubt, ask first.
  • To claim credit for the Resource.
  • Television, cinema, and movie  use must obtain additional permission

Acceptable use of Site Resources include:

  • Reprinting with proper credit in established blogs, publications, books, and other like mediums
  • Photo use with proper credit and link for adding to your web site entries on similar topics

Any other use of Resources on the Site that violate these terms will be aggressively monitored and pursued legally.
